Wii had fun

The invitation was 7PM but we came after everybody – 30 minutes late. We were expecting a large crowd but it turned out that it was an exclusive party. We've only been to 2 parties since we came here in Florida: Veeggie's surprise birthday party and this one. Everybody was in party mode. The kids set up the atmosphere like it was the 4^th of July , a big American flag was prominently hung in the living area, while American pie, star spangled banner, and God Bless America were playing continuously in the air. Judy's ever cheerful husband Ed prepared an all American feast of burgers, beans, chips, shrimp barbecue ( I must say very scrumptious, btw), Tim and Veeggie's yummy American flag cake, and Greg's famous Maine lobster salad.

The main highlight of the night was the Wii game. It was really fun. We played bowling, boxing, tennis and baseball. Greg won the first game of bowling over me, Veeggie and Judy. While I took home the light weight boxing title. I couldn't believe how hard it is to box the air, I wish there was something else (or imagine the face of the person you abhor..hahaha) it was really exhausting, but after several punches, Veeggie, fell off the floor, seeing stars in the horizon. Sorry Veegs, I am the Manny Pacquaio of Florida…hahaha

No, it was too late for the 4^th of July celebration, it was the 25^th of July and we were giving Judy a congratulatory party for making it the newest US Citizen in time to vote for Barrack Obama.

Why are you wasting your time on someone like me? I am enjoying my peace and quite, why do you have to harass me? Why? There are so many problems in this world. The world is suffering, why don't you focus your time and effort on something that will change and make an impact in the world we live in? Why me? What is in me that deserves so much of your time and attention? I am a nobody. It wouldnt be brow-raising if I were Britney Spears or Angelina Jolie or Mariane Rivera or Kristine Hermosa, but I am not. I just don't understand. Why did you pick on me?

Paintball is all about the fun

Paintball is all about the fun

I have always been curious about paintball. It has a big similarity and association with a game I played with my father and brothers when we were kids. It is called "salbatana". It is basically a blowgun made from Chinese bamboo and uses mongo beans or "dalugdog", a type of wild peas for ammunition. You blow the bean to your enemy and if it hits him, he is dead. The challenge is to stay alive by avoiding the bean as it gives a little sting to the skin. Even with that little stinging pain, we still have fun with the salbatana – great family fun at no cost at all.

Paintball became popular back in the 80s. I remember there was one paintball field in Antipolo, east of Manila in the late 80s and some of my friends took up this sport. I was so interested but I couldn't afford it then so I delayed playing. The following is an email I received a few days ago. Although it has been poorly written, the message is clear. Who is Juseleeno Nobulega DaRosse? Nothing is written about him except the short introduction in the email. Is there truth in his claim? Only God knows. Let's have faith in God that nothing happens to the Philippines and the world in general.

He sent the warning letter to the president of Indonesia on 30th April, 1997, the letter is about " I dreamed that 7:00am 26th Dec, 2004, South Asia will be attacked by 8.9 earthquake, at the same time will get the tsunami, the area will be Aceh Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Maladiv, Bombay. And many people will be dead……
  The result is- the earthquake was happened at 07:58am 26th Dec. More than 200000 people dead, the biggest tsunami was about 30 meters, a lot people were dead by the tsunami. He also sent the same letter to Indonesia , Philippine, Thailand and other Embassies. He also got the thanks letter from these countries.
  
  The thanks letter from Meigawadi said " about the 2004 earthquake and tsunami, to prevent the disaster, we must do a lot of things, but in another hand, we can do nothing". The thanks letter from Indonesia Embassy said "…..we will send this letter to our government, if you have any update information, please let us know".
  
  From above information, Juseleeno already predicted that there will be more than 200000 people die in the tsunami and earthquake 8 years before the disaster, he sent the warning letter with detail date on to these countries, but nobody did any preventive measures.

  There will be a lot of small earthquake before the big one, although Juseleeno didn't predict the exact date, but if we presume the small earthquake will happen one or two month before and it may be the period of Olympic, if so it may make the host and athletes give up. When the writer read this prophesy from Juseleeno, he suddenly remember the space time traveler John Titoer's last word " 2004 Athens Olympic Game will be last one"
  But, if the earthquake is in the south of China , Nanning and Hai Nan, and there are no Olympic games, the Beijing Olympic Game will close successfully. But the problem is that China government is only care about the reputation and successfully of the Olympic game, ignore the small earthquakes, and no preparation before the big one. China may control the report, closed all the news . If so there will be a big disaster as the prophesy said. In Mr. Juseleeno's warning letter said " if there is no preparation to protect the citizens, will get huge loss'
  Mr. Juseleeno also predicted that glacier period is coming.
  He also has the right prophesy for the weather, one of them is, in 2003, Europe got high temperature, 29th October, 2001, the warning letter said " the nature world will beat back to the world, the temperature of France, Germany and Portugal will become higher, more than ten thousand people will die, this disaster will happen between 2003 and 2004" . the truth is, the temperature in the summer of 2003 had reached the highest one which they've never had in Europe, about 35.000 people dead, especially France and Germany , about 14,000 people dead in France and 7000 people dead in Germany .
  
  
  From Mr.Juseleeno' s prophesy, the earth temperature will get higher every year, till 2012, the temperature in Africa will reach 58 degrees and the same time will have serious water problem, after the temperature will be even higher, till 2015, the average temperature of earth will reach 59 degrees, a lot of people will die, the human will get frighten all over the world. If this is the truth, the countries will against each other because of the aridity and not enough food, Mr. Jeseleeno also predicted that there will be some new wars because of the aridity, but he didn't have clear prophesy, but he felt it won't be the normal war.
  Anyway, the temperature is getting higher is not like the aerography said ( the speed is very slow), actually very quick. However the warmness seems not always incessancy, after the high temperature, a big part of ice of Greenland and South Pole will be dissolved and go to the sea, the circulation of the sea will be lower and become colder, it means a new glacier time. In Juseleeno's prophesy seems also said after 2027, there will be a new glacier. Details of the prophesy as below:

  Inability and tiny ability is totally different, inability is no matter whatever we do, it won't help. But tiny ability mean more people contribute and the power will become strong. We have do start from ourselves, one people's power is small but if we put everyone's power together, It will be strong to change the future disaster.

Are we ready for Hurricane Bertha?

Hurricane season started June 1 and as residents of Florida we've been receiving flyers and brochures on hurricane awareness. Since then, Greg and I we're picking up hurricane supplies from the groceries whenever we can. We were advised to get at least 3 weeks worth of supplies such as: canned goods, water, crackers, candles, batteries etc. We also learned that people who live near the coast are being evacuated to the high schools and we definitely are candidates for evacuation so we are quite unsure what to do when a hurricane comes but were making sure we have everything we need in an emergency. Are we ready for a hurricane? Not quite yet, so Bertha, please go away.

 

First Hurricane of the Season

Tropical storm Bertha has strengthened to become the first hurricane of the Atlantic season.

As of 5 a.m. EDT Monday, Hurricane Bertha was about 845 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center say it is too early to say if or where the storm will hit land.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to speeds of 75 mph with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected during the next couple of days.

Bertha is headed west-northwest at about 17 mph.

The first named storm this year, Arthur, formed in the Atlantic the day before the season officially started June 1 and soaked the Yucatan Peninsula.
